• OUR MISSION is to enable better treatment options for lymphoma patients and increase diversity in cancer research.

  • OUR VISION is to save thousands of lives through improved treatment outcomes.

Special populations we focus on

Cancer is a disease that affects everyone but doesn't affect all groups equally. There are higher death rates for cancer in many populations and less frequent use of proven screening tests which can lead to more advanced cancer diagnoses. We need more research on cancer health disparities to understand why some people may develop or die from this terrible illness more frequently than others.

  • AYAs who get cancer are the most understudied group for cause & treatment outcomes. AYAs are eight times more likely than children to get cancer, and for lymphoma, they haven’t seen a significant improvement in survivability in more than 30 years.

  • Cancer rates in Active Duty Military and Veterans are significantly higher than the normal population. We work with Veteran groups to improve their treatment options & outcomes by understanding environmental & lifestyle factors specific to the military that increase the likelihood of cancer.

  • Racial and ethnic minorities are underrepresented in clinical research. Although they constitute more than 30% of the population, racial and ethnic minorities make up less than 18%* of registered clinical trial participants.

The Chike Springer Foundation was created in honor of the late Chike Springer.

During his treatment, Chike was adamant about giving back and contributing to the cure for lymphoma. He frequently talked about starting a non-profit. The Chike Springer Foundation was created in honor of the late Chike Springer. We are determined to learn from Chike’s battle with cancer and to help others who are fighting a similar battle. We are committed to understanding Lymphoma through innovative research approaches and comprehensive care, and we aim to increase awareness of the complexity of lymphoma as well as the vast need for better treatment options.
